Yesterday we went Christmas caroling with our church folks after the Sunday morning service. It was really a wonderful experience. We went to about six different blocks of flats and sang in the courtyard of each and then different ones of us took turns delivering Christmas boxes filled with goodies to some of the more needy residents.

A Decade Away Hasn’t Changed England
Although we’ve had a few opportunities to visit the UK recently, living here is quite a different story. It has been nearly a decade since we moved back to Texas and so it is exciting to see all of our favorite sites again. London has always been an awesome mission field to us because its population is made up of so many different nationalities.
One thing that’s taken some getting used to is the early sunset — about 3:30 or 4pm each day!
The Long Road to London
We’re on our way from San Antonio, Texas to London, England via Dallas and Virginia Beach! Before jumping the pond we had to get one last night with our son, Cameron’s family in Dallas, Texas and then help get our daughter Dory’s family moved up the coast. She and Joe resigned from Destiny Church in San Antonio, Texas in order to attend Regent University in Virginia Beach next fall. They are planning to pursue their dream of making family films.
Back in the USA
Our trip to the Far East was an amazing adventure! God blessed us in so many ways while we were there and we are looking forward to returning to Japan very soon. We are now back in the States and were preparing for Ron to travel to Malawi, Africa next month, when some unexpected logistical complications within the nation of Malawi came up. Unfortunately the trip has been postponed until 2007. We are now going to be spending September in Alabama working on the completion of Ron’s book. Please pray for us to be able to focus and complete this task with enthusiasm!
Nagoya, Japan
We are enjoying Japan a lot. It is very different to China and Thailand. It is modern and actually is not similar to the U.S. but it is similar to Europe, in particular, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is has a lot of hills and mountains and more seasonal type plants. Right now azaleas and the last of the cherry blossoms. We are in a seaport town called, Nagoya, now and we pass lots of Japanese cars lined up to be shipped to Los Angeles.
