Update from Rwanda

Update from Rwanda
Thanksgiving ’09 in Kigali, Rwanda.

We’re doing great in Rwanda and enjoying this beautiful nation. We are at the airport just to send out a quick email. (The airport has internet access and is conveniently across the street from the neighborhood we are living in.)

The ministry is amazing, the weather is lovely and we’re having a wonderful time. The graduation of the Bible College where I spoke on Saturday was a fabulous experience. Many of the students have such miraculous testimonies, so we’ll have lots of stories to tell when we return!

There are tons of challenges here. Challenges in the areas of transportation, funds, having running and dependable water (especially water to drink) and consistent electricity. But being with these precious people is so worth it.

Your prayers are really appreciated. We need your prayers every single day.

We leave tomorrow from Kigali, Rwanda for a long drive of about 8 hours across East Africa to Kampala, Uganda. Both of our group’s vehicles have been broken, sometimes at the same times. Fortunately, the Lord sent us a mechanic from South Carolina to do the mechanical repairs. He is the most valuable member of the team at the moment. 🙂

Now the Land Rover is working, but the car is out of commission, so some of us will have to take a bus to Uganda. There will be six of us and all of our luggage in the Land Rover. A bit cramped on rough roads… some tarmac.

The team, however, is in good spirits. We fly from Kigali, Rwanda on Sunday, 13 Dec. to Nairobi, Kenya.
