Excerpt from Christi’s journal:
Becky Ranalli picked us up at the airport in Quito, Ecuador and Chris, although he was still feeling poorly, drove us the two hour trip to Riobamba, in the Andes Mountains. We were happy to see all the Ranalli kids again (except Dana, who happened to be visiting our daughter in Virginia at the same time).
The next day we had breakfast with a small group of pastors and their wives and talked about the “Leadership Training Conference” which was about to begin.
The conference in Riobamba was set for the evenings. We had a great attendance and openness and a cross-section from various churches. Also, on Saturday we had a special brunch for the wives of the Pastors. I enjoyed ministering to these dynamic ladies. The brunch was held at Becky Ranalli’s home and her daughter, Britney, who is a fantastic cook, had made muffins, etc. for the occasion. The ladies were so happy to be invited for a social event as well as a spiritual event geared especially for them. They prayed and wept together at the conclusion of the meeting and many were encouraged to keep pushing forward in the ministry. At the same time, Ron was speaking to a number of men at a breakfast.
Chris Ranalli has purchased a beautiful piece of property in the mountains just outside of Riobamba. From the property you can see an active volcano. They plan to build a retreat center for touching the leaders of many different denominations and fellowships. The Lord miraculously provided the funds for Chris and Becky to pay for the property.
