Palm Sunday in Thailand

Wade Thompson

Christi and I are sitting outside at a picnic table having a cup of Starbucks coffee (French Press). We carry it with us. We are really enjoying working as a team with Wade & Linda Thompson, from Houston.

We just finished a 5 day “Leadership Training Conference” with refugees from the Karen People. They are from Burma and are wonderful friends. Several of the men were formerly Buddhist priests, now are very happy serving the Lord Jesus.  Our hosts are Scott & Brenda St. Pierre.  Brenda runs their orphanage, but Scott works here in the mountains of Thailand with the Karen People.

Today we drove over into Myanmar (Burma) and will be back over next week.

We begin 10 days of Leadership Training tomorrow here in another mountainous area but in actual refuge camps called: Karen Villages. We are presently about a mile from the Burmese border. In 10 days we change pace and go back on a six hour drive through the picturesque Thailand countryside.

Pictured here is Wade singing at a Thai church.
