Yesterday we went Christmas caroling with our church folks after the Sunday morning service. It was really a wonderful experience. We went to about six different blocks of flats and sang in the courtyard of each and then different ones of us took turns delivering Christmas boxes filled with goodies to some of the more needy residents.
The choir, as we called ourselves, was very diverse. We had English ladies, a dear Irish lady, friends from Jamaica, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Columbia, Italy, America, Malaysia, and the Philippines, etc, etc…. such a nice diverse choir all singing traditional Christmas carols. Afterward we had mince pies and hot drinks.
The church looks so pretty as we have a huge very tall tree. Dad and I and our volunteer secretary Jenny helped Bill (another great member who works so faithfully) hoist it up and then Bill decorated it.
